Monarch Butterfly Preserve Workshop
Considered to be one of the most beautiful butterflies nature has to offer, the "Monarch" butterfly makes its long journey from cold northern climates to Pismo Beach via the Pacific Coast every winter. California has numerous places they like to roost along their journey but Pismo seems to have the largest clusters of them all. Photographing these little works of art can be a challenge due to the low light conditions, erratic movement and shooting distance. We will start out in the cool morning air and watch as they come to life with the warming of the sun. We will then break for lunch around noon. As a bonus, we will head up to Morro Bay to photograph the sea otters near the famous Morro Rock. We will meet at the Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Preserve at 7:00am. Cost is $160.00 For more info you can email me at [email protected] or call me at 661-406-7689.
